"With this special campaign we are making affordable and secure housing in municipal housing more accessible to students. Hundreds of young people in training have thus found a new secure home in recent months under fair and affordable conditions," said Gaál.

- Apartments have a size of 35 to 45 square meters.
- Low guideline rents currently at €6.67 per square meter (excluding operating costs).
How does registration work?
The participation requirements are clearly defined: students must be at least 18 years old, have had their main residence in Vienna for two years, and must not exceed a certain income limit. Registration is simple and entirely possible online. Interested parties fill out the contact form on the Wohnberatung Wien website and select the "Special Campaign 2025".
The response: A complete success
The campaign has met with great interest. Already 300 students have moved into an apartment, while 400 more are poised to sign a lease. Numerous applications are still being processed.
"I have been looking for an affordable apartment for a long time and am glad that thanks to the special campaign I finally found one," reports Lisa, a 22-year-old student at the University of Vienna. "It is an enormous relief and gives me security during my studies."
