The startup comparista.org offers its visitors a qualitative comparison of products, webshops, and financial services.
In times of a steadily growing range of products and services, it is becoming increasingly difficult for consumers to find the product that is optimal and of high quality for their needs. The platform comparista.org of the brothers Simon and Marcus Franzen supports consumers precisely at this point. Unlike similar offerings, the recommendations are not generated from existing reviews or influenced by advertising, but are determined on the basis of facts.
"Our personal concern is that our users determine the ideal product for them with as little effort as possible. If we have done everything right, we deliver the joy of shopping, saved money and time.", says Marcus Franzen.
The principle is relatively simple: the experts at comparista compare all available information and determine the best products and services based on facts that are relevant to consumers. If an interested party is referred via comparista to the seller's site and makes a purchase there, the startup receives a small commission without the buyer incurring any financial disadvantage.
In this way, the customer incurs no additional costs and the young platform can continue to operate independently, since financing is not dependent on advertising revenue or manufacturer sponsorship.
An additional bonus is that the young entrepreneurs can invest revenues and technical know-how from their already established software and consulting company zauberware technologies GmbH & Co. KG into their new project.
In addition to providing high-quality and independent advice to consumers, the startup also wants to give self-employed people and smaller companies the opportunity to draw attention to their products. Since many small and medium-sized companies do not have the necessary budget for large-scale advertising campaigns, comparista enables them to convince buyers through facts and quality.
Although the business plan only expected revenues at the beginning of 2017, the company can already operate at break-even.
Thus, the ambitious goal of the Franzen brothers to run one of the leading comparison portals in Europe within five years is not far-fetched.
