Coaching in professional life and everyday life is becoming increasingly necessary today. In the past, everything was much simpler. Children followed in their parents' footsteps and learned the same professions, and if there was any problem, they always had a contact person they could ask and who would provide them with help and advice. And today? Today, children learn completely different professions, and even in the same profession, conditions change so quickly that one can no longer help oneself in this way – not to mention that people no longer live under one roof, but often far apart. Where should one find help with a problem now?
This is where the Coaching in professional life and everyday life helps. The coach is an advisor who knows their way around life and is focused on helping to solve problems. Although these usually relate to professional problems, a coach can also be helpful with private problems, for example in a marital crisis.
Coaching for women
Coaching is long since no longer just a topic for managers. Women are also affected by it. Often it is the tension between family and career that can be very problematic. There is not always an understanding partner. Here, coaching for women by an advisor can help. They are not focused on presenting ready-made solutions, but on providing guidance for self-reflection. The woman must recognize for herself what she actually wants and then consistently dedicate herself to this goal. In this way, she too can be successful without wearing herself out.
Coaching in professional life and everyday life – the DBVC
How do you find the right coach? You can look for a coach privately. Then no one will find out about the problems you are facing.
Many advisors have joined together in the German Federal Association for Coaching (Deutscher Bundesverband Coaching e.V.). The DBVC offers various forms of assistance on its website www.dbvc.de. You can search for a member in your geographical area, and you can also search for specializations in the member profiles to find the right advisor. Detailed descriptions of the areas of activity also help with this.
If it concerns professional problems, it can make sense to choose a coach from the professional environment. They may know the operational circumstances and can therefore give better advice. You can find out about them through the company doctor without the employer finding out. Possibly, the employer even offers coaching as part of employee support.
