Decorating your own office is a task that is fun and beautifies the workday. When guests or clients visit your home, they expect a well-kept ambience and attractive highlights in the decoration. Decorating begins at the entrance
Decorating your own office doesn't start at the door. Even the path to it and the ambience of the other rooms should convince any kind of guest. The entrance looks particularly attractive with large flower arrangements. These should not be too different from one another. For flowers as decoration, as with clothing, “less is often more.” The arrangements need not be huge and overly opulent. Rather, they set colour accents and welcome the guest. An appealing door decoration is also welcome. With a wreath or a ribbon the entrance area appears more open and warmer.

Many offices are furnished in a puristic and modern style. The absence of colour and decoration conveys seriousness. That does not necessarily apply to the decoration in one's own office. Here the furnishings should match the overall concept. If the path to the office is made of wood and features colourful accents, an office with chrome elements and tall glass fixtures is not very convincing. The guest or client perceives the office as too contrasting compared to the rest of the house. This leads to unease. Too much kitsch at the office entrance is also not beneficial for business. Welcome signs should, if used at all, be rather discreet. A nameplate on the door is helpful.
